PPG Australia's automotive coatings team recently attended Volkswagen’s annual two-day conference.
The PPG Australia automotive coatings team was recently invited to participate in the 2017 Volkswagen Aftersales Dealer Conference in Gold Coast, Australia.
At the event, which is an annual gathering of Volkswagen staff to discuss business operations, the team had a display table to showcase the ways in which PPG could support the German car company.
“We had a log of interest from the large number of dealership service managers and parts managers who were there,” Darryle Browne, industry relations refinish manager, Australia and New Zealand, said. “It was a rewarding couple of days, which helped to further strengthen the links between the two companies.”
PPG is a major supplier to Volkswagen production facilities across the globe. The company offers several training programs for Volkswagen, including specific training for pre-delivery inspection employees.
During the two-day conference, the automotive coatings team showed video presentations to highlight how PPG could help Volkswagen staff identify paint-related issues early. The table also displayed products and processes the car company could use in their pre-delivery departments to recognize those issues in order to minimize the need for refinishing.
“At the end of the day, PPG’s aim is to help Volkswagen and its dealer network further improve the experience for their customers,” Browne said.
